LOH contest # 222 - not just one role model.....

Greetings dear Hiveans and members of the Ladies of Hive community. Happy to be back in the community, after a long period. All of us are good at something with some inborne talents, but then we always grow up learning from others.

Who was your role model growing up?

In our daily walks of life we get inspired by many people. And somehow we get attracted to their actions, ultimately resulting as a role model.

Indeed a tough question put forwardby @saffisara. Not one, but I got influenced by few pertaining to their character and calibre.An immediate answer would be my parents, under whose care & guidance I grew, , until I got married. But as the say goes none of us are perfect. Some skills lacking in one, would be an added advantage in another person

My mother spoke less, but whenever & wherever necessary she spoke for the sake of her children. When something goes wrong, she never raised her voice, but her very presence made us realize our mistake. The important lesson - life is not a bed of roses, I learnt from home. Apart from educating me, I was taught how to battle with life during crucial period1. She used to complete her errands with no complaints.

Next comes my dear neighbour and a close family friend of ours. She was a strong woman with lot of wits & wisdom. Besides being a homemaker, she made her presence, whenevwr required.

Why was she my role model? I learnt from her Time Management. Despite her tight schedule being a homemaker she was available in banks, markets, hospitals & schools etc., whenever & wherever necessary.

Last but not the least, was the Principal of a school, where I worked. She was the bold and the beautiful whom I adored. Being a thorough decision-maker, her decisions were final. When we teachers faced any problem, she took over the responsibility of solving the risk, amicably. With a bright smile she cherished us every morning, guided us, supported us, corrected us, protected us whenever necessary. Infact a sparkling fire in just one word.

Most of us have a single role model in our lives. But these mighty people with whom I travelled through these many years, are my role model. Infact, they are the one I got inspired to.

What inspires me ?
Anything that can be done by me, while learning from others, and that which can be put to practice.
