Tutorial que seguí para el proyecto

Últimamente no he podido publicar mucho acá en Hive por motivos de mis clases, pero la verdad lo he extrañado mucho. Viendo un poco la comunidad, me encontré con este concurso y me pareció que sería una buena oportunidad para volver y así participar, así que me puse manos a la obra, encontré bonita la idea de un Grinch y me pareció perfecto para así, además de participar, hacerle un pequeño regalo a mi mamá, que siempre se ha considerado un poco Grinch, ya que no le gusta mucho la Navidad, aunque yo sé que en el fondo disfruta un poco de estas festividades. Empecé por los piesitos y yo tenía la idea de que iba a quedar pequeño, ideal para colgar en el árbolito (imaginario porque no tenemos), pero mientras más avanzaba, me daba cuenta de que no iba a ser así, pero no me detuvo; me estaba gustando la idea de que fuese quizás como un peluchito.

Lately I haven't been able to post much here on Hive because of my classes, but I've really missed it a lot. Looking around the community, I found this contest and I thought it would be a good opportunity to come back and participate, so I got down to work, I found the idea of a Grinch cute and it seemed perfect for me, besides participating, to give a small gift to my mom, who has always considered herself a little Grinch, since she does not like Christmas, although I know that deep down she enjoys a little of these festivities. I started with the little feet and I had the idea that it was going to be small, ideal to hang on the tree (imaginary because we don't have one), but the more I advanced, I realized that it wasn't going to be like that, but it didn't stop me; I was liking the idea of it being maybe like a stuffed animal.

Hacerlo fue bastante sencillo, la verdad; el patrón era todo seguido y, a pesar de que no me gusta hacer cosas tan grandes, no me molestó hacer este. Creo que fue porque extrañaba tanto tejer que no lo percibí tedioso. Lo hice todo en 1 día y medio y dio la casualidad de que, mientras lo hacía, unos amigos me invitaron a ver la película de "El Grinch" por Discord y, aunque yo no suelo ser muy festiva, al igual que mi mamá, en ese momento realmente logré sentir la Navidad. La pasé bien. Algo que pude notar en esa noche con mis amigos es que las películas de Navidad suelen ser muy clichés y seguir la misma temática de "hay que salvar la Navidad", y no es queja; las películas malas son parte de la esencia de la Navidad. Solo fue divertido predecir con mis amigos lo que iba a pasar y ver cómo si pasaba jsjsjs.

Making it was pretty simple, really; the pattern was all in a row and, even though I don't like to make things that big, I didn't mind making this one. I think it was because I missed knitting so much that I didn't find it tedious. I did it all in 1 day and a half and it just so happened that, while I was doing it, some friends invited me to watch the movie of "The Grinch" on Discord and, although I'm not usually very festive, like my mom, at that moment I really got to feel Christmas. I had a good time. One thing I could tell from that night with my friends is that Christmas movies tend to be very cliché and follow the same "you have to save Christmas" theme, and that's not a complaint; bad movies are part of the essence of Christmas. It was just fun to predict with my friends what was going to happen and see how it did happen jsjsjs.

Los detalles finales, acá me pude dar cuenta de que no me gusta mucho hacer gorros navideños, jshshs, no sé por qué, pero no lo disfruto tanto. Lo que sí amé fue la carita, ¡me quedó muy tierna! Eso sí, creo que eso le quita la esencia del típico grinch malhumorado, pero me gusta mucho igual. El gorro y la bufanda los hice en clases. Me dio mucha risa ver cómo mis compañeros se me quedaban viendo sin entender por qué estaba tejiendo en el salón de clases o quizás sin entender el porqué estaba tejiendo, sjsjs, pero no me importó; a mí me gusta mucho verme como una abuelita tejiendo. Además, lo más probable es que siga tejiendo en clases, así que es mejor que se acostumbren, jsjs.

The final details, here I realized that I don't really like to make Christmas hats, jshshs, I don't know why, but I don't enjoy it that much. What I did love was the face, it was very cute! Mind you, I think it takes away the essence of the typical grumpy grinch, but I like it a lot anyway. I made the hat and scarf in class. It gave me a good laugh to see how my classmates were staring at me without understanding why I was knitting in the classroom or maybe without understanding why I was knitting, sjsjs, but I didn't care; I really like to look like a granny knitting. Besides, I will most likely continue knitting in class, so they might as well get used to it, jsjs.

Me gustó mucho cómo quedó; ya no quiero dárselo a mi mamá, sjhsj. Espero que le guste. Aún no se lo doy, es sorpresa. Se lo daría en Navidad; se supone que es su regalo adelantado para que lo pueda utilizar de decoración. Gracias por leerme y brindarme un poco de su tiempo. I really liked how it turned out; I don't want to give it to my mom anymore, sjhsj. I hope she likes it. I'm not giving it to her yet, it's a surprise. Tu mami se pondrá feliz con su Grinch. Oye, me hiciste pensar que hasta ahora nadie me ha visto tejiendo porque lo hago en mi cuarto. Mi familia solo ve el resultado (cuando le saco las fotos finales)...ni idea que pensará la gente si me viera tejiendo, aunque yo más diseño.
