A Tribute to all the Housewives (Needle Work)

I am 21st century independent woman.
I am not going to let anyone ruin my dreams by turning me into a house wife.
I am not gonna be like my mother who do nothing but sit at home and wait for her husband for every single basic needs.
I am not going to dedicate my life to my kids who is gonna eventually leave me when I am old.

Pov(point of view)
''Being a housewife will never stop you from pursuing your dreams it’s you yourself''

Out of most of us our moms are housewives but it never justify the point of them being dependent on their husbands or kids.

They are as much hardworking and passionate as us maybe more ,being housewives was their choice not an only option.

Hand embroidery you are seeing above is my tribute to those hardworking housewives who never get appreciated over their hardwork and dedication.

I believe and appreciate the efforts our mothers added in our life.

In the past when their were not too many options for them to work they used to.

  • Sew clothes
  • Do hand embroidery
  • Selling handmade crafts
  • Selling milk and eggs

They were working along with handling all your household as a strong pillar.

So if you are a house wife

I appreciate your effort
You are the best

So let’s take a small glimpse over hardwork our moms used to do in the form of this small embroidery

Material

  • Dark green, parrot, and yellow threads
  • Needle
  • Frame
  • Fabric
  • Pencil

Procedure

Firstly, I start with attaching the fabric in frame, after that I used pencil to draw the flowers on fabric the main reason to draw with pencil is me aiming for perfection because this is not just an embroidery its tribute from my side to all beautiful housewives out there

Next, I start stitching the design using dark green thread in needle, creating leaves on both sides.

Thirdly, I use parrot thread in the needle to create leaves on either side of the flower.

Finally, I design the flower using yellow thread in the needle. I know that creating the flower is a challenging task because its shape is difficult to replicate using a needle.

You can see result below 👇🏻

Hello @......... Welcome to NeedleWorkMonday community.
Every week needleworkers from around the globe get together to share our work, patterns, tips, ideas and shortcuts as we support one another. Our goal is to inspire the Hive blockchain to give crafting a try.

On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag without the word Monday attached. We share and post our work directly from the Community page.

We encourage our members to share about their needlework life with us. We love hearing stories and what types of things inspired your projects. We challenge you to put some feeling and emotion into your publications and help us get to know the needler behind the fabric.

Feel free to share photos of your work but it’s optional if you choose to share the steps with us (we do require you share the step process in at least one of your posts for validation purposes). If you just want to needle and share about that time we’d love to hear about it. 😊
