Greetings Holozing community, I want to share with you all my participation in the @holozing creature background contest. This one seemed super interesting since I saw it and although I found out a bit late about this contest, I finally decided to participate and I was able to make a small background for the character Electric Rabbit. Next I'll tell you a little bit about my creative process to make this background, I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

¡Saludos comunidad de Holozing! Quiero compartir con todos ustedes mi participación para el concurso de fondo de criaturas de @holozing. Este me pareció super interesante desde que lo vi y aunque me entere un poco tarde sobre este concurso, finalmente me he animado y he podido realizar un pequeño fondo para el personaje Electric Rabbit. A continuacion les hablare un poco sobre mi proceso creativo para realizar este fondo. ¡Espero les guste y gracias por pasar por aquí!

To make the background I made a small sketch, my idea was to create a friendly composition with flat colours without defined lines. Once I had my sketch ready, I applied a grey base layer to delimit the elements, this is very useful to have my colours ordered and without going out of these limits.

Para realizar el fondo hice un pequeño boceto, mi idea era crear una composición amigable y con colores planos sin líneas definidas. Una vez tenia mi boceto preparado, aplique una capa base de color gris para delimitar los elementos, esto me es sumamente util para tener mis colores ordenados y sin salirme de estos limites.

I then put together a colour palette with various shades of green and violet tones. I applied the base colours to each of the elements separately and then added some flat shadows to my background to give a sense of volume.

Posteriormente arme una paleta de color con varias tonalidades de color verde y tonos violetas. Aplique los colores base a cada uno de los elementos por separado y luego fui agregando algunas sombras planas a mi fondo para dar sensación de volumen.

Then I started to work a bit on the final rendering, I fixed some details and finished applying the shadows to all my elements. Then I made some adjustments in the background colours as my idea was to have a night background with more saturated colours but without going to black.

Después comencé a trabajar un poco en el renderizado final, fui arreglando algunos detalles y termine de aplicar las sombras a todos mis elementos. Luego hice algunos ajustes en los colores del fondo ya que mi idea era que fuera un fondo nocturno y con colores mas saturados pero sin llegar al negro.

Finally I added the character and made some tests, as he has an electric type attack I added 2 of these in the ears of the character and as a final detail I also added a little more electric energy all around him to fill with great power and strength to the character.

Para finalizar agregue al personaje y hice algunas pruebas, como este posee un ataque del tipo eléctrico agregue 2 de estos en las orejas del personaje y como detalle final también agregue un poco mas de energía eléctrica en todo su alrededor para llenar de gran poder y fuerza al personaje.
