Splinterlands - Flickering when loading battles needs fixing

avatar

I feel that I need to say this as my eyes are soar from it, Splinterlands needs to improve the transition when battling as with the loading screens that are overlapping or something are triggering a flickering effect which is simply not healthy for the eyes. Going further this can acerbate some health issues like eye strain, headaches, blurred vision, fatigue, apparent slowing or stopping of motion, reduced visual task performance and in some cases, neurological problems. In my case my eyes are trying hard to cope with the overlaid loading screens and I simply tend to look elsewhere when that happens.

Problem - flickering

I believe there shouldn't be such flickering transition and I hope that the developers can come with a solution to it. Maybe when the look and feel of the site was updates, there remained some old things that are not integrating quite well the new screens. Or maybe there are used only new screens and simply need a better and smooth transition with a single layer and maybe a lazy load, but just not to flicker in front of the eyes.

Solution - smooth transition

There should be a smooth transition when going to Battle or whenever something is Loading and a new screen is presented. At the moment probably some screens are overlapping with speed and are triggering this flickering effect which I think is not user friendly and even not healthy. Since the moment you hit the Battle button after choosing your formation, I have counted at least 3 layers popping up while the battle is loaded.

This post is more an improvement proposal, but I think that while is not some hard it is quite mandatory to be fixed in order to allow players playing the game without any problems to their eyes. I wonder if others had problems with this, but for me it became quite harsh just thinking about it. Hopefully we will have soon a solution to this and increase the usability in the game, while keeping our sight health to high levels.

They've been doing a lot of changes to the UI lately so I don't see any reason why they shouldn't consider something friendly to the eyes.

True and that's pretty annoying. Hopefully it is on their TO DO list SOON. :)

I hope so too, sometimes I feel like if it's not a popular topic, it might just be overlooked
