Hello Splinterfriends another week has come for another battle mage challenge, and it's good to see a familiar ruleset that is not very shy in appearing in rank and brawls battles. Thanks to @splinterlands for giving us an easy time this week.

Without further a do lets get to the battlefield.

The Ruleset

For this week they gave us like I said earlier an easy one , Rise of the Commons where only common and rare monsters can be used.

Making it more entertaining there are two added ruleset for me in this battle.

I love this rule because it gives me a better chance on winning against players with a very wide range of summoners in their hand.

Having this rule , it's always a note for me not to use magic monsters as much as possible because it activates the enrage in an instant.

Lets Meet the Participants

Getting new buffs from the summoners , I relied on the buffs given by monsters instead, so picking monsters with lots of buffs and debuffs is a very good strategy.

• Protect from Wavesmith
• Swiftness from Supply Runner
• Silence from Mandarin
• Demoralize from Deeplurker
• Blind from the Squid

This are the buffs and debuffs that my opponent will have to deal with in this battle hope he likes it.

Battle Highlights

ROUND 1

He took the first shot but even with a higher speed he missed because of the Blind brought to you by the Squid.

Just in the first round ,three enemy monster is already eliminated courtesy of Diemonshark's retaliate hitting all three of them. Also thanks to time mage for hitting my tank giving it enrage for additional damage and speed.

ROUND 2

Entering the second round only two remains.

It's an easy battle overall maybe the level and the buffs is the key. My tank is also a very good pick specially in higher leagues, it's high armor and health makes it very sustainable.

Suggestion and Tips

In the given ruleset challenge, one of my favorite element to use is definitely water, because it give has a lot of monsters that have a good sustain and buffs.I dont even consider them as commons and rare given their stat.

Also as always those who strike first most of the time have more chance of winning, so pick monsters with high speed and even better with swiftness ability.
