We’re getting close to that time when I thought we might kick off a rebooted Monster Raffle to Fund Raise for the SGS Community Curation Project. Things have generally been going pretty well and the vibe around the HIVE and Discord has been positive. However, before we take the plunge and commit to doing this thing it’s probably wise to run a poll and just see whether the support we need to make a Monster Raffle successful is really going to be there. Now is the time to speak up and say your piece if you do….or don’t want a new Monster Raffle to go ahead.

In the past we’ve always had a decent amount of support for our Fund Raisers from non-members so every voice is important and we’d love to hear from you!

That will probably depend on the value of the prize pool. I'd imagine it would be in the vicinity of 1 HBD.
We want the tickets to be affordable and accessible without having a million of them to keep track of.

We'd do it the way we did the old ones. Funds raised go to leasing Hive Power for @ssg-community and then the value flows back to members through upvotes. Members would also have first option on providing the HP leases at a nice rate - currently 13.5% APR.
I'd like to do it a bit more structured this time if we decide on a regular 6-month cycle, we'd budget the funds to spread across leases for the 6 months in-between events.
I would put up a poured pirate bar ☠️ but I gotta order it first from ....

Just voted in poll, currently BOTH has the lead with over 50% of votes, however, there are only 9 votes :(
You know I love a good raffle and I'm in for sure. I know a poll on leo is not necessarily representative of raffle participation but I would temper expectations of this being as big as the previous raffles. I could be wrong and I guess in the end it comparing them is silly. Any funds are good funds for the #sgs community.
