January 2025 Eating Out Challenge - New Year, New Food, New Goals (5000 Ecency Points & 10 HBD Prizepool)

Last month, I created my first eating out contest for the eating out community. There were only seven participants and they won a good chunk of Ecency points and HBD. Are you going to let them get away with it again?

The turnout was a bit disappointing but it was holidays so maybe people were busy. The prize pool is a bit lower this time since holidays are over but I hope you still participate because it's meant to be fun and give you a topic to write about.

I have thought long and hard about the theme for this month and I think I found a way to make it interesting. I will give you two different choices and the prize pool will be split between the choices you make. One of the choices will be a bit harder so you might get a bigger size of the pie.

For this month, the challenge will be eating new food or eating new goal(s).

A. New Food (2500 Ecency Points & 5 HBD)
I want to challenge you to eat out and eat something you've never ate before. If this is not possible, at least try a new restaurant that you've never been to before but please try to do the former!

Sadly, I won't know if you did or not so I'm completely trusting that you guys are trying new food or a new restaurant.

B. New Goals (2500 Ecency Points & 5 HBD)
I want to challenge you to eat out and link the dish or dishes that match one or more of your goals for the new year.

This is completely creative and I feel this will be a bit more difficult since you'll have to think a bit. I just want to give an example so this makes sense. For example, person A went out and had a salad. This could be linked to their goal for trying to be more healthy or cutting meat. Another example could be like eating chicken; you can link that to getting protein for going to the gym to get more muscle. The possibilities are endless and I'm looking forward to what you guys can brain up.

Requirements (Failure to meet all 6 requirements, will disqualify you from the prizes):

1. Write Your Post In The Eating Out community (One entry only please)

2. Use Your Own Words & Photos - Please NO AI

3. Take A Photo Of the Restaurant Signage & Receipt of your eating out (Make sure date can be seen clearly and include it in your post. Date should be in January 2025; I need this to disqualify cheaters)

4. Take photos of the food (You don't need to take a picture of yourself with the food)

5. Please Add "January2025-Eating-Out-A" or "January2025-Eating-Out-B" depending on which challenge you choose to one of the tags so I know that you are trying to enter in this challenge

6. Submit the post by deadline January 31st 23:59 GMT+8 (this post has a countdown timer)

Prizes
All these prizes are coming out of my own pocket. You are welcome to donate to the prize pool; I will update the post with your contribution.

Only 1 person can win once of either the Ecency points or the HBD if there are more than 60 submissions. In the event, there are 60 submissions or less everyone will be guaranteed to win something! Prizes are meant to be raffled. If turnout was poor like last month, everyone will split the prize pool.
