Hello friends and members of Olio di Balena community!

Today is Thursday, December 7, and another weekend is near.
The weekend is my favorite part of the week because I generally have more free time to devote to my family and in particular to the greatest joy that life has given me: my daughter Chiara.
The weekend is also the window of time when you can participate in the mini contest born from the collaboration between the Olio di Balena community and InLeo.

As always, the Olio di Balena - Inleo mini contest has a double goal:

• create a moment of interaction and sharing among the users of Olio di Balena
• raise knowledge of a useful tool created by Inleo for Hive communities: the Community Threads
  In fact:
• the Inleo UI is a front-end that can be used to interact and post on all Hive communities such as Peakd and Ecency.
• the #inleo tag can be used for posts on any topic but obviously the posts must have a minimum of quality.

Let's find out together the theme of the new mini contest and also the winners of the mini contest that ended last Sunday.

New Mini Contest Topic

Also this week I have decided to come up with a Christmas theme, and I plan to continue in this direction throughout the month of December.

For this week you need to create a thread within the Odb community and do the following task:

Explain why you like the Christmas holidays or if not, why you don't

Important Notes:

• Your thread must also contain a photo in which Christmas are the main subject of the photo.
• Enter a photo pertaining to the topic of the contest. The photo must be your own, it can be a photo you have in your photo archive but you cannot use a photo taken from the web even if it is copyright free and you cannot use AI generated photos.
• Threads containing only a photo or only text will not be considered.

Mini Contest Deadline

• Start: December 7, 2023

• End: December 10, 2023 - 11:59 p.m. UTC-1

Mini Contest Rules

• Rule 1:

You must create a Thread within the Olio di Balena community (= a thread with tag #oliodibalena).

• Rule 2:

In your thread: Explain why you like Christmas parties or if not, why you don't like them.

Important Notes:

• Your thread must also contain a photo in which Christmas is the main subject of the photo.

• Enter a photo pertaining to the contest topic. The photo must be your own, it can be a photo you have in your photo archive but you cannot use a photo taken from the web even if it is copyright free and you cannot use AI generated photos.

• Threads containing only a photo or only text will not be considered.

• Rule 3:

In the thread you must include an image of your own or a photo taken from your personal photo archive or a photo/screenshot you took pertaining to the contest topic.

How to Create a Thread in Olio di Balena

(Step-by-step guide)

A Thread is a Twitter-style post created and stored on the Hive blockchain through the use of the Inleo User Interface (UI)

A Community Thread is a thread posted within a Hive community and viewable within the Communities->"Community Name"->Threads section of the Inleo UI.

Olio di Balena community threads can be created and viewed within the Threads section of the page: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620
A thread is viewable in the Olio di Balena community if it contains the tag #oliodibalena

Creating a Community Thread is a very simple task and I will show you the steps to follow.

Note: The rebrand of Leofinance to Inleo happened happened relatively recently and I didn't have time to update the guide that keeps the screenshots of Leofinance but the steps given in my guide are the same to follow on Inleo as well.
In the next mini-contest I hope to be able to also update the screenshots in my guide that will show the new interface ;)

Step 1: Login to Inleo.

• Step 1.1: You have to go to https://inleo.io/ and then you have to click on Log in

• Step 1.2: On the next screen you have several log in options to choose from including:

• LeoAuth: You have to enter your Hive username, your Posting Key and then you have to click on Log in.
  

• Log in with Hive KeyChain: You have to enter your Hive username, then you have to click on Log in and then you have to click on Confirm within the Hive Keychain screen.
  

Step 2: Enter the Home Page of the Olio di Balena.

• Step 2.1: You need to click on Communities.
• Step 2.2: You must enter "Olio di Balena" or part of the name in the search field.
• Step 2.3: You must click on the box that contains the logo and name of Olio di Balena

• Alternative Step 2: you need to go directly to the link: https://inleo.io/communities/hive-146620

Step 3: Create and post the Mini Contest Participation Thread.

• Step 3.1: Within the Home Page of Olio di Balena you need to click on Threads
• Step 3.2: Then you need to enter the text of your thread in the box that contains the #oliodibalena tag
• Step 3.3: Then you need to click on Thread in the bottom right corner.

Operation completed! Easy right? ;)

Now all you have to do is participate in this nice mini contest ;)

Advice: If the text of your thread exceeds the maximum capacity of a single thread you can also write a threadstorm.
In this case only in the first thread you have to insert:

• the tag oliodibalena
• the tag threadstorm
• the 1/x indication where x is the number of threads your threadstorm contains.

All other threads after the first one you must enter them as comments to your first thread indicating for each thread the number of the tread such as 2/5, 3/5, ... 5/5

In the following image you can see the threadstorm (consisting of 1 thread + 3 comments to my thread) that I created for the Odb-Inleo contest a few weeks ago.

The Participants and the Announcement of the Winners of the Fifteenth Edition of the Mini Contest (November 30 - December 3, 2023)

In the mini contest that ended on November 26, there were 9 entries.
In the mini contest ended last weekend (December 3, 2023) there were only 5 participations with a decrease of -3 participations from the previous contest.

The record number of participations still stands at 17 (contest ended Oct. 22, 2023)

Let's go right away to find out who were the 5 participants of the previous mini contest and let's also find out their participation threads.

Participants in the 14th Odb-Inleo mini-contest had to answer the question that you can read in the screenshot below.

The first participant was @pousinha who chose to photograph the musical sheet music of a famous Christmas music: Adeste Fideles.

Pousinha has a great passion for music and her violin and Christmas is a holiday not only full of lights and colors but also full of music because there are really a lot of beautiful Christmas songs and music and the music in the sheet music I also like a lot because it is connected to so many of my memories of when I was a child.

The second participant was @duvinca who posted a beautiful photo of a city hall completely covered in lights.

For li-lou, Christmas is about sharing, conviviality, and the nativity scene is a real ritual for her.

The fourth participant was @babyl
babyl posted a photo of trees covered in lights with glowing reindeer and glowing snowmen at the base of the trees.
The quality of the photo is not very high and it is also a bit blurry but you can see the colors and lights.

After 4 female participants there is also a male participant: @kingsleyy
kingsleyy posted a photo of the fireworks that are very often seen in his country during the Christmas season.

Congratulations to the five participants who took the time over the past weekend to post a thread because they scored an easy win as far as LEO token prizes in the mini-contest and a likely win as far as HBD prizes are concerned.

Oggi è giovedì 7 dicembre e un'altro week end è vicino.
Il week-end è la parte della settimana che preferisco perchè ho generalmente più tempo libero da dedicare alla mia famiglia e in particolare alla gioia più grande che la vita mi ha dato: mia figlia Chiara.
Il week end è anche la finestra temporale in cui è possibile partecipare al mini contest nato dalla collaborazione tra la comunità di Olio di Balena e InLeo.

Scopriamo insieme il tema del nuovo mini-contest e anche i vincitori del mini contest terminato domenica scorsa.

Il mini contest Olio di Balena - Inleo ha come sempre un duplice obiettivo:

• creare un momento di interazione e condivisione tra gli utenti di Olio di Balena
• far conoscere un utile strumento creato da InLeo per le comunità di Hive: i Community Threads
  Infatti:
• la UI di Inleo è un front-end utilizzabile per interagire e pubblicare su tutte le comunità di Hive come ad esempio Peakd ed Ecency.
• il tag #inleo può essere utilizzato per i post di qualsiasi argomento a patto che si garantisca un minimo livello di qualità.

New Mini Contest Topic

Anche questa settimana ho deciso di proporre un tema natalizio e penso di continuare su questa linea per tutto il mese di dicembre.

Per questa settimana devi creare un thread all'interno della comunità di Odb e svolgere il seguente compito:

Un Thread è un post Twitter-style creato e memorizzato sulla blockchain di Hive tramite l'utilizzo della Inleo User Interface (UI)

Un Community Thread è un thread pubblicato all'interno di una comunità di Hive e visualizzabile all'interno della sezione Communities->"Nome Comunità"->Threads della Inleo UI.

Nota Importante: Un thread è visualizzabile nella comunità di Olio di Balena se contiene il tag #oliodibalena

Creare un Community Thread è un'operazione molto semplice e ti mostro i passi da seguire.

Note: Il rebrand di Leofinance in Inleo è avvenuto da poco tempo e non ho avuto ancora il tempo di aggiornare la guida in questo post che mantiene le schermate di Leofinance ma i passi indicati nella mia guida sono gli stessi da seguire anche su Inleo.
Nel prossimo mini-contest spero di riusciere ad aggiornare anche le schermate nella mia guida che mostreranno la nuova interfaccia ;)

Passo 1: Login su InLeo

• Passo 1.1: Devi andare su https://inleo.io/ e poi devi cliccare su Log in

• Passo 1.2: Nella schermata successiva hai diverse opzioni di log in tra cui scegliere tra cui:
• LeoAuth: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, la tua Posting Key e poi devi cliccare su Log in.
  
• Log in con Hive KeyChain: Devi inserire il tuo Hive username, poi devi cliccare su Log in e poi devi cliccare su Confirm all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain.

Passo 3: Creare e pubblicare il Thread di partecipazione al mini contest.

• Passo 3.1: All'interno della Home Page di Olio di Balena devi cliccare su Threads
• Passo 3.2: Poi devi inserire il testo del tuo thread nel riquadro che contiene il tag #oliodibalena
• Passo 3.3: Poi devi cliccare su Thread in basso a destra.

Operazione completata! Facile vero? ;)

Adesso non devi fare altro che partecipare a questo bel mini contest ;)

Consiglio: Se il testo del tuo thread è superiore alla capienza massima di un singolo thread puoi anche scrivere un threadstorm.
In questo caso solo nel primo thread devi inserire due tag:

I Partecipanti e l'Annuncio dei Vincitori della quindicesima Edizione del Mini Contest (30 novembre - 3 dicembre 2023)

Nel mini contest terminato il 26 novembre ci sono state 9 partecipazioni.
Nel mini contest terminato nel week-end scorso (3 dicembre 2023) ci sono state solo 5 partecipazioni con un decremento di -3.

Il record di partecipazioni è sempre fermo a 17 (contest terminato il 22 ottobre 2023)

Pousinha ha una grande passione per la musica e per il suo violino e il Natale è una festività non solo piena di luci e colori ma anche di musica perchè ci sono davvero tante belle canzoni e musiche natalizie e la musica presente nello spartito piace molto anche a me perchè è collegata a tanti miei ricordi di quando ero un bambino.

babyl ha pubblicato una foto di alberi ricoperti di luci con renne luninose e pupazzi luminosi alla base degli alberi.
La qualità della foto non è molto alta ed è anche un pò sfocata ma si vedono i colori e le luci.

Complimenti ai cinque partecipanti che hanno trovato il tempo nel week end scorso per pubblicare un thread perchè hanno ottenuto una facile vittoria per quanto riguarda i premi in token LEO del mini-contest e una probabile vittoria per quanto riguarda i premi in HBD.

Infatti con 5 premi da 10 LEO ognuno offerti da Inleo tutti i partecipanti sono vincitori.
Per il premio in HBD non c'è la certezza del premio ma ogni partecipante ha più del 50% di probabilità di vincere.
