The Next Big Hive Meetup! .:. Road to BuzzParty 2025, Graz, Austria

Every #RoadTo... post starts with a ticket... πŸ˜ƒ In the same way this #RoadToBuzzParty began with a purchased ticket for the biggest SPRING Hive Meetup event! If you were following my previous posts, and especially the #MyHiveGoals post from almost 2 weeks ago, you know that one of my goals is to visit 5 Hive Meetups during 2025! To be honest, I'm not sure that there will be that many this year, but I know that I can't afford to skip any... πŸ˜ƒ

After the very successful last @BuzzParty meetup in Hamburg, the moment it ended, I was waiting for the next one... @tibfox did mention it last summer, but he told me to wait to buy tickets, accommodation, etc... So, when the official post came out 2 days ago, I didn't hesitate a second and I bought my ticket... Let me tell you more about #BuzzParty, how it was, and why you should consider going... πŸ™‚

The first thing that people ask is, what is the difference between HiveFest and BuzzParty... Except that Buzzparty will have only the 2nd event this year, it is important to say that it has a limited amount of participants that can attend! While on HiveFest, there can be from 50 to 500 (or 5K) participants, at BuzzParty there will be "only" 30!!! 😱 Also, it needs to be said that it is limited because of organizational reasons and definitely not because of "exclusivity"...

Speaking of only 30 tickets, most people who were in Hamburg last year bought theirs as they KNOW how great was the event! All that means that there are not too many tickets left... If I counted well, maybe 4-5 tickets maximum!!! The price of the ticket is ridiculously low (10 HBD!! 😱), so it can't be even called a ticket, it's more like a small donation!

My ticket for BuzzParty Graz!

As you noticed, I put the word "only" in quotes as that's not a bad thing at all! Having fewer people gives a lot more space for deeper discussions, hangouts, understanding, networking, and of course, creating stronger bonds!

So, how was last year? Well, the concept is similar to HiveFest... We had a day of presentation and the rest of the time was excursions and networking... Will this time be different? It could be, as when I checked the post by @reiseamateur, who is our local host this year, it looks like we will have even more Hive content at the event... Don't forget to check out his latest post about the location for presentations and networking... Btw. When you are there, check out the comments as there are a few more details in there (if you have problems with the German language, like me, use a translator πŸ˜ƒ)...

So, there it is... I will keep this post short and sweet... Don't forget to check out the official announcement post where you can find all details about the event...

I can't wait to meet you there! If you never attended any Hive meetup, this BuzzParty is for you! Hurry up, only a few tickets left! See you there!

Thank you for your time,

--ph--

These meetups should be held in some other cities as well. For that, I think HIVE need much more active members across the world.

What do you mean? The last time it was organized, it was in Hamburg, and this year, it will be in Graz. Those are two different countries.

Btw. it's not some "official" event... I mean, anyone can create a Hive meetup... For example, I would like to travel to Turkiye if someone organizes an event there... πŸ˜ƒ

Waiting for more members could take too much time... Hosting and attending these events usually helps in creating bonds, and helps with retention... ;)

That's what I mean. Offical or not, Hiveans can organize meetups in their cities, other than HIVE fest :)

That's near. But the date is questionable for me: 1-3.5.2025 ... need to change schedules...

The number of tickets is limited... Just to let you know... I'm not sure how strict they will be regarding that, but the current info is 30 participants... The last ticket that I saw had a 24/30 number... πŸ˜‰

Well, if they encourage non-Hiveans, then I don't know...

I think non-Hivians are not counted in those 30 tickets... I suppose that the point is to have an onboarding event and by having a lot of great Hivians there on the spot, it would be easier to onboard new users...

Just my 2c... :)

Austria is a very nice place for a meetup, it always warms my heart when reading about Hive meetups :)

I missed yesterday's post, just read it, and googled translates the comments as suggested which I don't normally do. Thanks for the reminder

You are welcome!

Fun fact... If we meet again in May, I will officially spend more (live) time with you than with my parents... πŸ˜‚ 🀣

See you in Graz!

PS. I'm taking NO ROCKS from the event this time! 🀣

Taking steps towards your goals for the year! May this event be for all participants a moment of fraternal encounter and learning and leave unforgettable memories. Best regards.

Hehehe... Maybe I should squeeze in an additional meetup BEFORE this one? πŸ€” 4 meetups after that, in only 7 months could be too much... πŸ˜ƒ

Thanks! It would be great if you would have easy options for traveling... The world isn't that big a place...

Have a great weekend!

If political borders would disappear it would be a blissful respect to one of the main rights of the human being, the freedom to go where we want, but unfortunately it is not so. A nice week to you guys.

Attend to 5 events considering the frenetic and chaotic modern life would be a great achievement πŸ˜…

How did you know that my life is chaotic and frenetic? 🀣
You guessed it right! πŸ˜ƒ

Btw. prepare one Hive meetup in Padova for July and I'm coming with 1 more Hivian! πŸ˜ƒ

Haha almost everyone in the west has such a lifeπŸ˜‚

I'm not sure there are more than just me on hive from Padova πŸ€” there are already not that many Italians overall... I try and spread hive but "oh too complicated, oh crypto is scam, better TikTok and Instagram" πŸ˜‘

July here can be a very good challenge, outside mid day you easy get 35 degrees with like 70% humidity lol

I know, man... I'm driving a car for 2500 km in those days... πŸ˜ƒ I do have an air conditioner in the car, but eventually, you have to stop, take breaks, etc. πŸ˜‚

I think it's nice to meet others in Hive, but I don't think I can go to it. I hope you do have fun and you are able to make it to 5 events throughout the year.

Don't you have 365 Hive meetups per year at home? Count those 🀣

True... If we onboard a third person, it could count as a BIG meetup... πŸ˜ƒ

Is this a teaser that next hive fest is going to be around this region too? I really wish hive fest this year is somewhere around the EU and that schengen visa isn't so hard to reachπŸ˜„ I hope you'll have fun this meetup and that ticket is definitely such a sweet deal!

It's not a teaser as BuzzParty is organized by other Hivians, not the same as HiveFest... Also, as HiveFest was in Europe in 2024, I suppose it will be somewhere else...

You should join the HiveFest Telegram group and check out suggestions and speculations around it... πŸ˜ƒ

I remember the last HIVEBUZZ you attend, I can't remember now. I think HIVEFEST is on the biggest stage and there's no reason not to have smaller stages where people can gather (people from the same cities) I think generally it felt like you had more fun in HIVEBUZZ.

I you all have more fun in Graz this time.

It's BuzzParty, not HiveBuzz... Hehehehe...
Anyway, it was better exactly because fewer people were attending... That provided a lot more time to dedicate "per person", which means more quality interaction than just shallow chit-chat... πŸ˜ƒ

It will be fantastic, I have no doubts in that!

Yeah, I do hope for such an opportunity too, when the schedules/locations etc are aligned, which sometimes can be challenging. Will always keep a lookout!
