"Limited local train service will be resumed from next Wednesday after being closed for about seven and a half months".

In the Indian state of West Bengal, all local trains are closed from March to November due to the corona virus. Closed for about 6 months. It is learned that the local train service will be launched again in the state from the 11th of this month.

However, even if the train service is started, it will not run as normal as before. The decision was taken at a meeting between the two sides. All local train services have been shut down since the day the crowd called for a curfew in March.

However, some special trains have been launched as per the need, but the local trains have not been launched properly yet. People thought that local trains might be launched this time after most of the vehicles including buses and metros were introduced.

But the railways and the state administration have been meeting for several days to discuss when the trains will start running and how to run them. After the meeting, the administration decided to start the train in accordance with the rules from the 11th.

181 pairs of local trains will run daily, of which 114 pairs will run in Sealdah division and 50 pairs will run in Howrah division. It was decided that the remaining trains would run in Khargpur division.

No new train schedule has been made, all trains will run as per the previous schedule. Prior to this lockdown, normally over 1000 local trains were running in Howrah and Sealdah divisions and there was always a huge crowd at this station.

But now the railway administration says it will discuss how to manage the crowds at all the stations by avoiding the transmission of the corona virus.

Besides, the biggest problem is that there is no decision yet on what will be the arrangement of passengers getting on and off the train, sitting inside, standing, which is a big problem and a matter of concern.
