Provinding health and education is more important than punishing citizens.

  I remember in my youth that I got chicken pox and many people got it as well. If I remember well, I got the disease when I was 3-4 years old. During my youth, the public health system already offered the measles vaccine, and I got it. But the Varicella vaccine (chicken pox) was invented in 1984 and Brazil only adopted it in 2013. So I didn't have a chance to take this vaccine. My brother, for example, also got chicken pox and he was a teenager still before the adoption of the vaccine. Right now we are facing some outbreaks of measles, which surprises me a bit. My kids are all updated with our schedule in here, but it looks like that not all kids are.

  I noticed that the Alberta government is publishing some ads about how to avoid measles and how to protect kids with vaccines. The vaccination schedule is public in the internet, but it can also be reinforced by our family doctor during the annual check-ups. Check-ups and following the public recommendations, which are recommended by the World Health Organization, and not made by one or two politicians. However, the government can't interfere in individual decisions about these topics.

  Currently we have an outbreak of measles in the north of the province and some others around the country and continent. It is sad because the MMR-Var vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella and varicella) is given in two doses. The first time the individual is 1 year and the second when they are 3 years old. So sometimes a family that doesn't vaccinate their kids, has a kid under 3 years old that goes to the daycare and infects other kids that aren't yet eligible to get their dose.

  It is ok for me if a person decides not to follow public recommendations, but it needs to be a bit more cautious to not step on the grass of the other. Ok, we have measles in our family, we should keep kids at home even without having symptoms. Measles is probably one of the viruses with the biggest rates of infection. Ebola, Flu and even COVID have a lower infection rate. We don't need any government penalty for that, there are other ways to promote the mentality of being more health conscious, such as Education. Education faced cuts in the budget in many countries, especially first world countries

  We are living in the center of an unhealthy way of living, where obesity is big, petroleum-derived food colorants are used and diseases that were reduced due to vaccination have come back. Regular check-ups avoid problems, but the root of the problem is education. People need to understand that our body is limited and like a car, if it is not maintained. But again the government is important to provide us a better education system, and invest in that. Also to make available to us a good health care so we can get back for what we invested in taxes. Taxes shouldn't be seen as a way of losing money, but a way that we are getting these important services.

  Lembro que na minha juventude eu peguei catapora e muita gente também pegou. Se bem me lembro, peguei a doença quando tinha 3-4 anos. Na minha juventude, o sistema público de saúde já oferecia a vacina contra sarampo, e eu tomei. Mas a vacina contra varicela (catapora) foi inventada em 1984 e o Brasil só adotou em 2013. Então eu não tive a chance de tomar essa vacina. Meu irmão, por exemplo, também pegou catapora e ele era adolescente ainda antes da adoção da vacina.   Tudo bem para mim se uma pessoa decide não seguir as recomendações públicas, mas precisa ser um pouco mais cautelosa para não pisar na grama do outro. Ok, temos sarampo na nossa família, devemos manter as crianças em casa mesmo sem apresentar sintomas. O sarampo é provavelmente um dos vírus com as maiores taxas de infecção. Ebola, gripe e até mesmo COVID têm uma taxa de infecção menor. Não precisamos de nenhuma penalidade governamental para isso, existem outras maneiras de promover a mentalidade de ser mais consciente da saúde, como a educação. A educação enfrentou cortes no orçamento em muitos países, especialmente os do primeiro mundo

  Estamos vivendo no centro de um modo de vida pouco saudável, onde a obesidade é grande, corantes alimentares derivados de petróleo são usados ​​e doenças que foram reduzidas devido à vacinação voltaram. Check-ups regulares evitam problemas, mas a raiz do problema é a educação. As pessoas precisam entender que nosso corpo é limitado e como um carro, se não for mantido. Mas, novamente, o governo é importante para nos fornecer um sistema educacional melhor e investir nisso. Também para nos disponibilizar um bom atendimento de saúde para que possamos receber de volta o que investimos em impostos. Os impostos não devem ser vistos como uma forma de perder dinheiro, mas uma forma de obtermos esses serviços importantes.
