A MYTH?
Growing up, I always wanted to visit America. I guess being a child, the picture of the white man's land made me fantasized about it, seeing it as a very big achievement. When my family traveled to Dubai it felt so unreal, but it was at that moment I realized that these were just places. It was at that moment I valued home. My family came back from Dubai with chicken pox due to the weather conditions when we were there. After that trip my dad had traveled to a lot of other places, but all those travels made me realize the white man land wasn't really a big deal, it was the dream of going there that made it a big deal. I'm not saying this because I'm trying to downplay other countries, (hope no one gets the wrong impression) Yeah my country is seen as a third world country and there are a lot of things going wrong here, but one thing I have come to realize is that being a citizen is totally different from being a foreigner.
As a foreigner in Dubai, I discovered their main goal was to show off and make you invest, which they were able to successfully do to my dad. If I am to be honest, it's the only thing I love about visiting another country. I would now like places where I can invest and make a good amount of profit without paying too much tax. Of course I will also love to invest in my country as well, but investing in other countries has more value at this time. Countries like Switzerland and the UAE are some of the one's I would prefer. I used to like the United Kingdom too, but everyone I know there complains of tax. A friend of mine even commented that we living in Nigeria are blessed as our government does not impose the kind of tax the government in most of these countries impose on their citizens.
I feel a lot of the citizens there would prefer to live in my country if we had stable electricity and a little bit trustworthy government. For nations like Switzerland, UAE, UK, and even USA, their government can be trusted to do certain things. It's a badge of honor to serve, and I see this in how they advertise themselves on the news. It's quite different here because even at this age and time, a lot of people in other countries think we're so ancient that we have no technology. Part of the reason is because of their ignorance, yet another part is because we mostly talk about the things my country lacks paying little or no attention to the things we have. This is why if I am to leave my country, it will be mainly because I wish to invest in another country.
Since the UK is a No, No for me, and UAE is already crowded, this leaves me with Switzerland. Although I know it's really cold there, I heard the population there is quite small and there are always jobs and investment opportunities waiting. One time I heard one would even get paid just living there because of their weather conditions. Although I don't know how true it is, I would like to believe it is more of a lie. I would love to visit the well known swiss bank. I heard there are always ways to invest there, but it would be when I become a whale 😂.

Trueeeeeee!
I would want to travel to other countries, not to live there, just for a visit. Nigeria is not good but the homie things here can't be measured when outside the shore
