Contessa L'ament - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 272
Greetings my dear Hive community!!!
Happy weekend! I have just completed my participation for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 272. Finally, the time came to create it; I thought the year would end and I wouldn't draw this character. I haven't created many fire characters compared to other Splinters, but this one was a combination of Fire and Dark, so I liked it a lot.
I had selected it a long time ago, but I always left it for later—a fascinating character. I made this drawing in Photoshop because I wanted to detail things a bit more and I know the brushes that would work for that, I still don't know them in Corel. Although, yes, I've learned some commands.
This time, I didn't make a video; in fact, I need to clean up my PC because there are many videos that I haven't edited, and they are taking up a lot of space. Well, it's not like I have little storage, but the videos are quite large, and all together mmmmmmm it's quite a bit😮😮. I've left a couple of images of the process and the description of this character.

Death Summoner
The dark witch known as Contessa L’ament brings a chill to the entire audience of Mount Mox whenever she is called upon to summon. Her flowing robes seem to absorb light from all around; it is said that the eminence of a dark star is woven into their fabric. The ghastly, rasping voice she uses to control her monsters is naturally amplified as it echoes through the arena. Contessa wears a white mask so none can see her face, a mask which cries a single tear, as if lamenting some never-forgotten loss from a distant living past.
I started by sketching my drawing to have the layout, some lines not too neat, but that's okay since it could change later as it always does.
I began this drawing in grayscale to add some values, giving me a better understanding of the character's lights and shadows.
After the previous step, I needed some color, a base color. I worked a bit more on the skin, which was slightly ahead of the rest.
I added more color, improved the shape, detailed, and added more darkness to some parts. It was looking better.
I wanted to do something more with this drawing, add more darkness to what I was doing. The hair in the previous steps was just a flat color, so I added a couple of highlights. I fixed the boot, the leg, the mask, the hands, and so far, the background wasn't quite finished, but the idea was there.
I changed the design of the character's shoulders a bit, detailed the mask I had made before, fixed the horns, and added the magical tattoos on the arms. I emphasized the darkness of the dress a bit more, and it was almost done.
There were still many things to do, so after detailing a bit more, creating the background for which I didn't want something sharp or specific, just a bit of chaos, I used a brush to add some fog, some lights, a bit of darkness. Oh, and I also used a drawing I did earlier, from which I took some parts that served for the background.
I made some adjustments to lighting, colors, and other details to finally finish this drawing.
YOOOOOO THAT'S SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!!!
