From Preparation to Celebration: Our Jingle Contest for P.E.

This P.E. culmination was certainly not the ordinary type of culmination activities-it was a jingle contest! A fun and exciting avenue through which everyone was involved within the place through the preparation and, of course, on performance day and well-earned vacation afterward, has become truly memorable. It is a place for us to grow as an individual. A lot of things happened during the preparation; we had misunderstandings with each other, but in the end, we fixed it as a group so that our performance would not be affected.

The Preparation:

The journey commenced with dividing groups, bringing together pooled talents and personalities. Some members were musically inclined but others brought boundless enthusiasm. Brainstorming sessions lively sometimes became chaos; ideas flung back and forth on debate topics of theme, melody, and lyrics from fast tempo to slow. Do we need a funny twist or a serious one? And then came the homemade instruments which, of course, make everything more personal and fun.

Once the rehearsals began, we realized how much work it took to refine all of our ideas into an actual performance. There were late nights spent practicing lyrics and choreography and ensuring the instruments were in tune. While there was the occasional wagging of heads and exasperated sighs, we learned to compromise, share a few things, and, most importantly, enjoy the process.

Presentation: Stage Full of Live Currents

That day, when the battle had finally come, was there in the air suspense as if it was electrified. The stage was there, the microphones tested, and the judges-our P.E.- teachers- were ready to see the results of our hard work. Groups took the stage one after the other, with each group having its jingle.

Of course, the songs sung were a mixture of pop, ballads, and folk. The group poured out its soul singing, dancing, and playing with all the flair cuts from the heart and soul they had. Sure, there were stumbles-lost lyrics, wrong keys to the instrument, and choreography went a bit differently, but cheers from the audience, let alone smiles from the judges, helped encourage the spirit.

Celebration: Time Enough to Freedom

So, as actual notes died and the contest came to a close, you could say we all felt relief washed upon us as we realized our achievements. As a reward for our hard work, we went straight to a park just around the corner from all the chaos that was there. Our little haven, it was here that we could escape completely into oblivion and maybe throw.

We made sure to feast on all kinds of snacks possible; then we reminisced about the comical and downright ludicrous moments during rehearsal, reflecting even on the distance each of us had traversed. We discovered that it wasn't a jingle competition at all. It was more about establishing camaraderie among the students and gaining an understanding of the importance of teamwork while developing a joyful spirit unlike any other.

That's it for now my amazing Hivers! Thank you for your time for reading blogs. Don't forget to upvote, reblog, and comment.
