Nature's looking glass reflecting beauty.
People enjoy "reflection photography" because it allows them to capture unique perspectives and add a layer of visual intrigue to their images. Reflection photography is the practice of capturing the reflection of objects or scenes in reflective surfaces, such as water, glass, or mirrors. I am not a professional enough to understand the depth of photography, but when I took this I shot I really liked the reflection that appears in the water.
To be honest, I was more into capturing the building structure. However, on finding the beautiful reflection I liked the picture more. Water is most reflective when viewed at a very shallow angle, straight across the water. Reflection on water is unique because of the way it reflects light, and how the reflection changes based on the condition of the water's surface. When water is still, the reflection is perfect because the surface is flat. Ripples or waves in the water distort the reflection.
Any reflection always creates a new interpretation of a scene that can be abstract, artistic, and often visually captivating, giving the viewer a different way to see the world. Reflection images provides a creative outlet to see beyond the obvious and explore new compositions within a familiar setting.
As I said, I am not a photographer, I was more capitavated by the beautiful structure during my trip to Mayapur. The building was the "samadhi mandir" which depicts the life of Srila Prabhupada and his struggle to establish ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada is considered a pre-eminent representative of Krishna and a pre-eminent guru in ISKCON. It was evening time, when I was passing through the temple area. The place is of high importance to the devotee. The place is where Srila Prabhupada left his mortal world and gave his final instructions.
The outer walls of the temple are decorated with terra-cotta art depicting various descriptions of Srimad-Bhagavatam. One can experince serene peace in the spread out garden along the building.
It was a lovely experience standing in middle of the garden and taking pictures of the structure. But ultimately it is the reflection that caught my attention for a lovely memory.
This is my entry to the reflection contest.
I've never really paid too much attention to reflections in my photography, but I know there is a big group of people here on HIVE who like to celebrate it.
It just happened, I never intentionally tried, but when I was scroling through album I liked it.
