Eivor, the Sunset Hunter. Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Hello everyone.
It's been a while since I last posted in the community and the reason was the breakdown of my computer, without which I couldn't bring you new screenshots of my video game adventures. Fortunately, for me, the problem has been solved and I'm back to being active here.
For my return, I've decided to start by publishing my entry in the weekly community contest with the theme: Sunrise and/or Sunset Contest. I have chosen to participate in the contest, as I am currently playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla and this game enjoys beautiful ambient lighting and solar cycles, which will allow me to bring you images of incredible sunrises and sunsets, steeped in Nordic culture.
I won't go into details about the story or the place where I am, since that's a topic for future publications that are almost ready. I will only tell you that my character's name is Eivor, Matalobos, and he is a Viking warrior who is looking for fame, fortune and to earn his place in Valhalla. But this warrior will have to postpone his plans of conquest, because today he has to go hunting sunsets.
The hunt did not start off on the right foot, as the sun was completely covered by clouds and at sea level a fog obscured the view. So I had to climb the highest mountains to get a good view of the place.
After so much progress, I was finally able to reach some cliffs, which were high enough so that the fog would not bother me and then I could take some pictures of the sunset. In each of the captures, I try to make sure that the sun is partially obscured by some object, since at that moment it was so intense that if I focused directly on it, it would cover everything with a blinding light, almost like in real life.
I was ecstatic with so much beauty, but I still wanted more. I wanted to catch a real sunset, like the ones where you only see a part of the sun as it slowly disappears into the horizon. I wanted to see new colors reflecting on the white snow and the waves of the sea. And I got it, or so I would like to say.
I got distracted for a second and everything disappeared. It happened so fast that I couldn't dismount from my horse or strike a pose. I had seen the colors, but only for a brief moment of time, and that was not enough. But now it was all night, which is not bad because after night would come dawn. The bad thing is that at dawn the sun rises on the opposite side and behind me there were only mountains. Mountains which I had to cross in a hurry if I didn't want to miss the sunrise.
Another ride was necessary to get to the other side of the valley, because by employing fast travel, time passes in proportion to the distance traveled and that did not suit me. Upon arrival I was able to enjoy the last scenes of the sunrise.
It was still a long way to sunset and, luckily, I was so high that it was not necessary to return to the previous site, since from there I could see both sides of the island. As I had plenty of time, I set about hunting some animals and gathering some resources, while in my mind I idealized the poses and angles I would use.
Taking advantage of the golden light of the sun in the afternoon, I took some photos, which I titled “Sparkles”, since their light composition is based on letting the sun's rays enter through elements of the environment.
And finally the time had come. Everything had started to change color and it was time to get everything ready. One second lost would be several beautiful photo opportunities. I got as close as I could to the edge of a cliff and began to photograph the landscape.
After choosing my position, I took my bow and aimed at the sun, because yes, these images are the ones that give name to this publication. It was at this moment when I came up with the exact name: Eivor, Hunter of Sunsets, which although it is a performance, if we analyze the whole journey, it makes a lot of sense.
Before I say goodbye, I leave you with a selection of images taken during my missions in the story mode.

Wow! You've done really outstanding work here man! Congratulations!
Thank you my friend. I'm glad to hear you liked them.
Damn, what I have missed! I mean I tried this game for some times and I didn't like it but look at these views. I didn't really explore around to find these amazing views.
I think the game itself makes it difficult to find these landscapes. Since it's all about looting and combat there's not much time to explore.
Possible. We just need to start exploring at some points without just looting and going for combat. And in that case, @gamingphoto is doing an amazing job as we're looking for those special moments for their contest themes.
That's right! the community has given gamers something else to do in their adventures, love and appreciate the beauty that each game is offering and giving you a much more pleasurable gaming experience.

It's great to have you back in the community and title is spot-on. Valhalla can be an excellent choice for photography contest though I didn't know the sunset of this game is this beautiful. Your dedication definitely paid off and I'm looking forward to your future story missions.
This game turned out to be a box of surprises. Its photo mode allows me to get a lot out of the landscapes and combat scenes.
Welcome back. I'm glad your computer problem got solved. Eivor’s quest for the perfect sunset sound like a fantastic theme. Loved the clicks, each one of them.
Thank you very much, I hope the new components will allow me to try many new games.
