Hello Hive friends, I hope you are great, I recently discovered a very interesting community, where we can share our tastes for beers or "espumosas", as we say in my country. In Venezuela there is a great variety of beers, but the Polar or "morena", as the beer is called, is a Venezuelan tradition.

Recently this beer brand went viral, since every year the Venezuelan women who are selected to represent the Polar girl, are models or beauty queens, but this year something changed when a plus size girl broke the stereotypes and recorded a video where she said that she was also a Polar girl and that she wanted to be taken into account for her abilities to represent the brand even though she did not have the measurements of the other models.

This video quickly had thousands of views, because Polar girls are usually thin women, but this time this plus size girl dared to ask to be incorporated as a Polar girl and because of her charisma, Polar Breweries contacted her and offered her to be the new Polar girl and represent their brand.

Hola amigos de Hive, espero estén genial, hace poco descubrí una comunidad muy interesante, donde podemos compartir los gustos por las cervezas o "espumosas", como decimos en mi país. En Venezuela hay una gran variedad de cervezas, pero la Polar o la morena, como se le dice a la cerveza, es tradición venezolana.
Hace poco esta marca de cerveza se viralizó, ya que todos los años las mujeres venezolanas que son seleccionadas para representar a la chica Polar, son modelos o reinas de belleza, pero este año algo cambió cuando una chica talla plus rompió los estereotipos y grabó un video donde decía que ella también era una chica Polar y que quería que la tomaran en cuenta por sus capacidades para representar la marca aun cuando no tenía las medidas de las otras modelos.
Este video rápidamente tuvo miles de visitas, debido a que las chicas polar suelen ser mujeres delgadas, pero en esta ocasión esta chica talla plus se atrevió a solicitar la incorporaran como chica Polar y por su carisma logró que cervecerías polar la contactara y le ofrecieran ser la nueva chica Polar y representará su marca.

I felt identified, because at this stage of my life I became a plus size woman and I have felt very self-conscious, so I decided that although I do not make it public, I also consider myself a polar girl, because I am a fighter, hardworking, enterprising, brave and hardworking woman, characteristics of a Venezuelan girl who also enjoys a cold beer on a hot afternoon.

So I wanted to relax and reward myself with a cold beer, to raise my spirits, to lower the tension of my days and so I could share this anecdote with you while enjoying the pool. I also wanted to share this story of a beer from my country, since I recently got to know the community by following @detlev and saw all the fun anecdotes of flavor experiences that are shared here, because behind a cold beer there are many stories.

Rápidamente, las anteriores modelos de cervezas polar la contactaron y enviaron mensajes muy emotivos, sintiéndose representadas por ella y aplaudiendo su gallardía al atreverse a romper los estereotipos de las marcas comerciales.
Yo me sentí identificada, porque en esta etapa de mi vida me convertí en una mujer talla plus y me he sentido muy acomplejada, así que decidí que aunque no lo haga público, yo también me considero una chica polar, pues soy una mujer luchadora, trabajadora, emprendedora, valiente y esforzada, características de una chica venezolana que también disfruta de una fría cerveza en una tarde calurosa.
Así que me quise relajar y recompensar con unas heladas cervezas, para subir el ánimo, para bajar la tensión de mis días y así poder compartirles esta anécdota mientras disfruto de la piscina. También quise compartir esta historia de una cerveza de mi país, ya que hace poco conocí la comunidad al seguir a @detlev y vi todas las anécdotas divertidas de experiencias de sabor que aquí se comparten, porque detrás de una fría cerveza hay muchas historias.
