Crypto Latin Fest: Huge impact on brand awareness and team bonding.
Hi, everyone! I love working for Hive and meeting new Hivers, that is why I came all the way from Barquisimeto, Venezuela, to Bogotá, Colombia, to attend the Cripto Latin Fest. It was a fantastic two-days event for networking with multiple projects in the crypto-space, with crypto-enthusiasts, people that is not already into Web 3 but is looking for it, and with a lot of people that needs what Hive has to offer.
But it wasn't just great to work in the Brand Awareness of Hive, it was also a great opportunity to meet Hivers living here in Colombia, specially here in Bogotá. Colombia is huge, so not everyone living in the country was able to come, but just meeting the once that could was awesome. Very collaborative people, great energy, fast learners, open-minded, with a lot of experience on Hive, so the only thing they were lacking was connecting with each other (as I said, the country, even the city is big), and experience on a Hive Stand, and now they have it, so I'm happy to say that Hive will have a team working on the Colombian Market.
The team working for Hive on this event was all around the place, we had people in the stand, people walking to talk to the other stands, doing networking with the representatives of the other companies and projects; there was no place that was not covered by a Hiver. Even when it came to foreigners that didn't speak Spanish, we had @ecoinstant talking to all of them, he has a great energy and stamina, he never stopped and was the last one leaving the event; and I have to say, I also did my part, talking with some projects I visited, since I joined Hive I starting using English to communicate on writing, now I'm able to do the talking too, it was a great experience for me.
@arlettemsalase was our Speaker, she did great, people liked it, understood it, and it was great that we were almost at the end bot not the very end, because people was intrigued by Hive after all the interaction on the stand and all the meetings her and @fermionico had all day during the two days of the event, and even before it started.
I have been working on events with the team @hiversbqto, a great experience that was very different, I'm the newest member so I was there learning from them, this time I brought my humble experience there so I could help the team here in Colombia answer questions about Hive. It was awesome, the first day I talked a lot, my voice hurt hahaha, @helengutier2 was the first one to pick up all the information, and after a while she was on-boarding a lot of people on her own; @aurodivys and @sofiaquino98 were the next ones, hahaha I was making them and @virginianavas1 to step up and talk to people even when they were nervous. Next day I was there to help but they did all the work. A very cohesive team, everyone with a great smile and aware of out job there, working for our goals even when walking around visiting the other stands.
I was able to meet @ecoinstante, @globalcurrencies, @rafaelaquino and @kathajimenezr. All great people, even though we have never interacted on Hive, in person it was like we have been friends since forever. I also learned that even if people doesn't post constantly or at all they could still be a very active and valuable member of the ecosystem, funny because I'm not very active on my blog either but I know I'm always busy, so it's great to meet people in a similar situation (but I have to admit, they are way more productive than me, I have a lot to learn)
Now for the projects, this is just a first appreciation, because I had a lot of interactions, but this is the first time I'm in an event where people is already into web 3. Some projects were not as attractive to me, but I saw some real case use for NFTs, tokens, and more that are really attractive so you can use your crypto actives to get real world services and products, there is an app to get tokenized items, your NFT is like the invoice for the product and you can go get it on the store, it can be food, clothes, services. There is also a coffee entrepreneurship with mainly women members that with their NFT give you participation in earnings, discounts, products, visits to the farm and more.
There are also projects with a social impact that are selling their NFTs to get funding, awareness, and volunteers to protect the Colombian moor and natural water reservoirs. Several of these projects are on different chains but they are intrigued by Hive to either migrate their tokens, create new ones with us, or, and I love this idea, join Hive to promote their projects to our community and also bring their communities to our ecosystem, since their projects mostly don't have blog or microblogging spaces.
We also found swap-apps and spaces that want to listen HBD and Hive, one is for stable coins and the other ones are looking for currencies that are being used. There was one that has cashiers so there is potential to get cash directly from your Hives, so a lot of possibilities for Hive and our Hivers here in Colombia and everywhere these projects expand too.
And being this my first time in Bogotá, I've had a lot of new experiences, like getting evacuated from a 6.2 earthquake, nothing like that to bond with all the team and the other projects hahaha.
I came here not just representing Hive, but also @leofinance, and it has been a great experience, because we get people on-boarded not only to Hive as a Blockchain but also to our Dapps, and I have to say, it is way more effective to onboard people to a specific Dapp that to Hive as a whole, because "Hive" is a blockchain, they won't use the blockchain, but they will use the Dapps, they can relate to one of our Dapps first, there find their niche and later explore other Dapps and communities
This is only my first post about this event, I have a lot more to expand on, but over all, an awesome different experience, a great way to celebrate my birthday, meeting wonderful people, in fact, I only knew @fermionico in person, even when we are both living in Venezuela I meet @arlettemsalase here hahaha, great partners on this travel, to whom I'm very grateful because I'm staying here with them, even tho we got here all from different routes.
See you next time!

You, Lady.
You are a beautiful person. Thank you so so much for everything. I learned so so much with you about a lots of things.
You are welcome always here in Bogotá. Xoxo
You are a beautiful person too, I loved sharing this experience with you, that I got to bring value here and the experience I've had this year can be helpful for you too. And thank you soooo much for today, I will never forget it, thanks.
We have to go out again before I go back to Venezuela 😁 <3 <3 <3
Excellent summary of the event in bogota, I congratulate you for being part of the team that represents us in events as important as this, before you mentioned that you were also representing leofinance, when I saw your t-shirt I intuited it, how wonderful.
You may not be a very active hive but you have a well defined mark in hive, I am very absent-minded, I remember you and I recognize you, and that rarely show your real face and remove the avatar.
Thanks for your effort in that event and in the others, thanks for building hive.
When you can tell me what you do with leofinance, hahahahahahaha @tsunsica 😘
Thank you so much. I'm glad to know even if I'm not as active as I'd like, I'm still visible.
I did change my face recently on my profile and left the avatar only on my footer haha. Since I decided to join the Hive Marketing job, I thought it would be better to use my face so people know who's talking.
I love doing this, thank you so much for your comment, I truly appreciate it.
And I'm working with Leo Finance on curation and other projects. We can talk on discord about the initiatives haha Weekly Tops and Weekend Threading. We are still onboarding communities on those 🙂
That's right, showing your face is important to be recognized, I recently changed my profile picture in which I was throwing kisses jejejejej how unprofessional.
I've stopped giving kisses, now I'm going to charge for them. 😂🤭
Yes, what a good job you are doing with leofinance, you are the person I was looking for, soon I will write you on discord, thank you and have a good night. @tsunsica
Hahahaha we have to monetize.
I'll wait for your text, whatever you need. Have a good night too.
😆🤣
You've been curated by @plantpoweronhive! Delegations welcome!
