Making a table center-pice from branches and upcycled accessories
🌲
Making a table centrepiece from christmas tree branches for the Christmas dinner coming up.
This tim its for the @DIYHUB december christmas contest.
I bought a tree an some loose branches for decoration.
I also bought oases. The green foam where you stick in the branches to start the table piece a a decoration. In the Netherlands its a thing you can buy everywhere but i choose to make it myself. I do that every year eventhough I am not a pro. When I start I alwys think oh no this is nver going to be good, but the reactions were good.
I started with soaking them in a pan of water, to make the base heavy because of the water and as water is needed to keep the branches good till the 24th.
I used baking paper and folded it around the oases blocks and cut branches in smaller pieces to start of.
The base is a charcuterie board , long because we have a long table, these days my family is consisting of 8 persons
Here you see it. I use and upcycle everything but the branches, its great because everyyearyou can addd another color balls or things.
I put the baking paper closed with a toothpick.
I sort by color and length and than start to pick them and put them in the base.
Tha base is now ready.
The water that I will put in the table Christmas piece can’t run over the table
And the base is stickable for the branches.
I take out the accessories that is keep every year and reuse. The end piece is never the same very year its a different shape.
Than you start filling in the base.
You can put in whatever you want.
I have a lot of stars and i always put in little scented candles.
These green ones are tree scented.
The end is snow spraying.
Not to much buy enough to make is Christmassy wintery.
This is the Ned result and this is the rest of the photos made using th E making of.
This is the endresult and I love it.
Another ✅ on my to do list where I still have 8 days to do a everything.

Very nice decoration friend, nothing like taking advantage of unused materials to create beauties for our home, as a great friend would say, the garbage of some is a treasure for others. Thanks for sharing your creation in our community @brittandjosie ✨

How long does the snow spray last for? I would have thought it wouldn't stay on for too long.
