Hello Hiveians and friends, all artists and creators, greetings! This is my contest entry for this month's theme, World Honey Bee Day. It is essential to understand the role of these small creatures that work tirelessly to collect their treasure because their role as pollinators is crucial to many plants, some of which are a major source of our food. Similarly, here in the Hive ecosystem, we are all striving to collect and grow our pot-ential and work together like bees, with all the various communities providing their share and supporting each other. I have tried to express my understanding of the Hive blockchain and how bees are similar.

20240809_131425.jpg
I started with recycled material
cardboard
papers from paper recycling. i cut strips from some old paper printed on just one side.
scale
black and yellow-brown and orange paint
glue
brushes: fine and thick
pencil
the roll of toilet paper in the photo was not used.

20240812_004528.jpg
Later on, I used more colors of paint
reuse cloth cuttings
pointer
clay and bubble packing plastic
scissors
orange paper/ orange cardboard

20240809_131456.jpg

I made 1/2 to 1 cm. wide strips from the recycled paper.

1.jpg
Some are painted with black color.

2.jpg
Some of them are in yellow color

20240809_131559.jpg

20240809_131723.jpg

Using glue and paper I made my background board.

20240809_133723.jpg
Here I have black yellow and white colors paper strips and backboard.

20240809_131502.jpg
I made 3.5 cm folds and cut them after painting.

20240810_233023.jpg
Here my black and yellow color paper strips are folded.

20240811_101604.jpg
Luckily I manage to find orange cardboard.
I sketched the hexagon and cut it to shape.

20240811_102019.jpg
Using the same color cardboard strips I fixed all 6 sides of the hexagon and made a frame.

20240811_103447.jpg
I spread normal clay on bubble plastic to get the honeycomb effect.

20240811_103703.jpg
It looks like this. I kept it aside to dry.

20240811_161248.jpg
When it dried 70% I cut it in a hexagonal shape using a knife.

20240811_161336.jpg
This is going to be fixed in the frame I made from cardboard.

20240811_162118.jpg
It wasn't perfect after thinking while I got an Idea.

20240811_164623.jpg

20240811_162134.jpg
Using glue
I fixed more side borders on the hexagon.

20240811_164647.jpg
And glued orange paper on top.

20240811_165000.jpg

Finally, I was able to make an appropriate hexagon-shaped honeycomb. Kept it aside.

20240811_191742.jpg
Now started making small folds from the yellow and black strips that I had cut. gluing the ends of strips together, Made Petal-shape folds. which will become the bee's body.

20240811_194236.jpg
For some of them, I made circles using glue. those I used to make the bee's heads.

20240811_194251.jpg
Most of the glued ends of strips. like petal shaped. these I used for bee's body.

20240811_194241.jpg

20240811_194443.jpg

The white paper I used to make the bee's wings.

20240811_224325.jpg
And colored the leftover yellow-brown color from the beehive.

20240811_195559.jpg

Some black strips are used for antennae.

20240811_203936.jpg
The leftover orange color cardboard was used to make some circles, I sketched some using a pencil.

20240811_205243.jpg
Cut them into different shapes and sizes of circles.

20240811_205751.jpg

using white color, made Hive symbols on them.

20240811_211845.jpg
Painted beehive using brown and yellow colors.

20240811_213915.jpg

Here are my hives and a honeycomb.

20240811_215149.jpg

20240811_215142.jpg

I made the tree trunk, using leftover cloth cuttings

20240811_220518.jpg

Checking the setup of the hive on the Hive tree.

20240811_220558.jpg
Making bees first took one yellow fold and spread glue on the tip.

20240811_220634.jpg

Glued the black fold tip on the yellow tip where I put glue in the previous photo.

20240811_220925.jpg
On the black again one yellow. and the wings.

20240811_221232.jpg

The antenna and the circled black paper roll for the head. Those antenae are quite tall I will cut them later.

20240811_232449.jpg

I made around 12 bees.

20240811_233014.jpg

20240811_233558.jpg
using white and black colors to make their eyes and red color for smile.
20240811_234548.jpg
used paint pen for marking green

20240812_000326.jpg
Some small details should be done.

20240813_002843.jpg
Here I fixed small details. their positions, their tails, and small bees on the grass.

20240813_122217.jpg
My poster is ready to post.

I feel that I am also one of the small bees here on the grass trying to get up on the hive blockchain tree to gather more honey.

Here one more time how I did the bee and hive symbol
20240813_165834.jpg
A paper strip and cardboard piece.

20240813_165900.jpg

Colored the paper strip and cut them in 3.5 cm length. used glue to fold them. One is circular other three are just joint ends together. Also wings in white color.

20240813_165949.jpg
Glued them according to photos. The first, one yellow and 1 black.
one yellow then wings
then circular for head.then antenna. and tail

20240813_171134.jpg
Making eyes smile and the Hive symbol and bee. Easy to make it.
