Faltan algunos días para armar el árbol de navidad, la tradición en argentina es armarlo el 8 de diciembre, técnicamente eso fue ayer jajaja, pero escribo en el futuro así que aún faltaban unos días, y como uno de mis objetivos es utilizar muchos de mis retazos me puse a buscar en la gran bolsa de tela que cosas tenía para hacer algunas decoraciones, y encontré unas telas lindas que podrían servir mucho, como este polar blanco y un satén brillante verde.

There are a few days left to put up the Christmas tree, the tradition in Argentina is to put it up on December 8, technically that was yesterday hahaha, but I write in the future so there were still a few days left, and since one of my goals is to use many of my scraps I started looking in the big fabric bag for things I had to make some decorations, and I found some pretty fabrics that could be very useful, like this white fleece and a shiny green satin.

Busque en internet algunas ideas, pero ya tenía algo en mente que quería hacer y eran adornos colgantes, entonces necesitaba buscar patrones, encontré unos muy lindos en pinterest que calque para usar ya que no tenía mucha fe en dibujar unos propios jajaja y así es como encontré esta estrella y este árbol, los pase a moldes en cartulina y los recorte.

I looked online for some ideas, but I already had something in mind that I wanted to make and they were hanging ornaments, so I needed to look for patterns, I found some very cute ones on Pinterest that I could use since I didn't have much faith in drawing my own hahaha and this is how I found this star and this tree, I transferred them to cardboard molds and cut them out.

La idea es simple hay que recortar los moldes en tela, coserlos, dejar un hueco para rellenar y una vez listo rellenar y coser el hueco, esto parece simple, pero resulta que no lo fue tanto jajajaja. Creo que el primer problema que enfrente fue el tamaño, en la mano al final parece buen tamaño, pero para coser las curvas fue un tanto difícil, empecé con la estrella y me costó bastante jajaja.

The idea is simple, you have to cut out the molds in fabric, sew them, leave a gap to fill and once ready, fill and sew the gap, this seems simple, but it turns out that it wasn't so simple hahahaha. I think the first problem I faced was the size, in the hand it seems like a good size in the end, but sewing the curves was a bit difficult, I started with the star and it was quite difficult hahaha.

Decidí que para rellenar estas figuras usaría los mismos descartes que iba generando al cortar las formas, y eso fue una buena idea, así también podría usar los pequeños retazos que quedan en mi lata, muchos de estos son cortes de hilo o los cortes que hace la overlook, me da pena tirarlos y ya, entonces me hago cargo de ellos haciendo esto 😊, me deja tranquila.

I decided that to fill these figures I would use the same scraps that I was generating when cutting the shapes, and that was a good idea, so I could also use the small scraps that remain in my can, many of these are thread cuts or the cuts that I make the overlook, I feel sorry to throw them away and that's it, then I take care of them by doing this 😊, it leaves me alone.

El cerrar la estrella fue un poco caótico, pero luego se me ocurrió que una puntada decorativa a mano sería buena idea, salvo por un pequeño detalle y es que no domino para nada la técnica de costura a mano jajaja, pero con maquina y paciencia lo cerré y cosí una cinta.

Closing the star was a bit chaotic, but then it occurred to me that a decorative hand stitch would be a good idea, except for one small detail and that is that I don't master the hand sewing technique at all hahaha, but with a machine and patience I did it. I closed and sewed a ribbon.

Para el árbol de navidad use el satén y el polar, con la misma idea, pero ya sabiendo que las curvas serian conflictivas cosí las puntas en forma recta y no redondeada eso me ayudaría un poco más, al darle la vuelta decidí pisar otra vez y así quedaría mejor y eso paso, pero olvide colocar la cinta para sostenerlo por dentro así que la puse por fuera, el resultado de eso no me gusto tanto.

For the Christmas tree I used satin and fleece, with the same idea, but knowing that the curves would be conflicting, I sewed the ends straight and not rounded. That would help me a little more. When I turned it over, I decided to step again and That way it would look better and that happened, but I forgot to put the tape to hold it on the inside so I put it on the outside, I didn't like the result that much.

Después de rellenar y cerrar pude ver que no estaba tan mal, pero quiero que esto mejore un poco más así que lo voy a volver a intentar, pero tengo otras ideas para que estas cosas funcionen mejor, quizás simplemente estoy usando una técnica que no está en mis habilidades.

After filling and closing I could see that it wasn't that bad, but I want this to get a little better so I'm going to try it again, but I have other ideas to make these things work better, maybe I'm just using a technique that isn't listed. in my abilities.

Quiero algo nuevo y bonito para el árbol, igual estos estarán ahí, simplemente voy a ocultar los defectos con un moño y pegándolo con silicona caliente jajaja, si algo aprendí en la universidad es que hay que esforzarse al máximo para que los proyectos se vean lindos y eso haremos jajaja espero que se hayan divertido, inspirado o aprendido de mis errores, hasta la próxima 😊.
