Phone Photography Contest 01 - Celebrating an Estonian Holiday
I rarely publish any private posts lately due to lack of time - this year I am working at school again, after a year of quiet life of a retired person.
When I found the new competition hosted by @untilwelearn , the Phone Photography contest, it pushed me to become more active in Hive and to make this post - I think, it is a good opportunity to present the pictures taken with my phone. :)
That day our school celebrated an anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.
Our children had made a serious preparation for the day. Every class was busy preparing a poster to put on the walls. Just look how different they are! Every class had their own idea.
On most of the posters, you can see the outline image of our small country, of Estonia.
My favourite poster was made by the youngest children - the first year ones. They definitely have a very talented classteacher, don't they?
In this poster, the students placed brief information about history, nature, simbols, famous people and places, and wrote their wish to the country:
PALJU ÕNNE, KALLIS EESTI! *Much happiness to you, Estonia!)
Those ones below look nice to me too.
The school was decorated the day before, and the festive atmosphere was meeting us when we were entering it.
The children came dressed in the colours of the flag of Estonia (blue, black and white), and we, the teachers, were also had something blue, black and white in our clothes.
After lessons, the was a concert in the hall. Our students were singing songs about their beautiful country and were dancing Estonian folk dances.
This year school-leavers | and the primary school children. |

One boy, who is only a second year student, recited a poem of his own composition. What a talented one! The audience was impressed.
The young poet 😍 | and the girl with a short speech about her beloved country. |

Our school is not big, that is why there so many empty sits when the choir is on the stage.
The last picture is my personal hello to @melinda010100 - this photo was taken because I like the shadows thie poster produces.
Many, many thanks to you, dear @melinda010100 for the great idea of this contest and lots of other your stunning ideas makung our life in Hive so interesting!
Of course, my thanks also go to the host of this contest which promises to become very popular - to @untilwelearn, to @barbara-orenya and to the sponsors of the contest - @ecency and @alokkumar121 ❤️.
