Another Not Much Day - July 11, 2024 @goldenoakfarm
On Thursday I didn’t get up until after 5AM, much to the cat’s disgust. I got the post up, cleaned up the kitchen, and puttered around with bills/budget. When my brother got up we decided a big salad and pesto chicken was for supper. So I went out and picked a huge bowl of greens and got them washed up and in the fridge.
My sister said she wanted a go at reconciling a mistake in the Quicken I couldn’t find and wanted a lot of paperwork to do it. So I got that sent off to her. She eventually found it. YAY! That much closer to being done.
Then I decided I should really look into getting the riding mower repaired before it broke down completely. So I spent a large amount of time looking for a manual that legibly detailed the mower deck and saving the info.
My sister and I were on the phone discussing how the entry mistake had been made when call waiting went off. I took the call and it was the Senior Center telling me they didn’t get me on the schedule and the bus would be there in a few minutes!
Here I was sitting in my pajamas on the phone! So I dashed off, got dressed and cleaned up and was almost ready when the bus arrived. I’d only missed 7 minutes of the event.
I missed the introduction of the performers but had a good time watching them do their act. They so obviously enjoy what they do, it was fun! I looked up Ben when I got home and got a better idea of his disabilities and how they affected him.
Once home again, I finished up my projects and just sat and did not much.
On Friday I can either harvest beets and process them or I can clean out another garden, probably the West Herb/West garden as it will be in the shade. We’ll see…
I’m glad you could still meet up a bit even though you missed seven minutes of the event
Well, I just dislike the fact that it is the introductory part you missed
Introduction is important
And how was the event later on?
Was it a good one?
Yers, it was fun. They did a lot of different kinds of songs.
Oooooo dear it sounds like a busy day with a bit of chaos. I’m glad you still enjoyed the event. HAPPY FRIDAY ❤️
It's good to relax after working so hard, that performance was the break you needed. You deserved it!
I really think that event is really a good one right
Without being told I know you had a very joyous time with the performance.
